Is it worth it?

Dust and water proof is why I got one, has a back light screen, battery is large and easy to change, CR2032, and extremely good value for the money.

Orbit Rain Sensor for Irrigation Controller with 6 year Warranty

Orbit Rain Sensor

Easy to install. Plenty of options on where to fit. Rather than drilling holes into the meter box I used silicon adhesive. The sensor is very light in weight so there will be no problems with it falling off. Both Orbit units are in full sun and weather. A side note: I use an insect surface spray to keep the ants out. And the Orbit controller has replaced an Orbit controller that was 25 years old.
