Still working to get my operating system back working.
Still having trouble restoring my existing system from my recovery copy. Do not know if it is a disk problem or a software problem.

Toshiba Mk3021GAS Drive
0 of 1 found this helpful The Toshiba drive that come with my new laptop lasted only two years. I purchased a new replacement that lasted less than 5 years. This last purchase is a used unit as new ones are difficult to find. This laptop is hardly ever moved, so the problem is not rough service. I have a desk computer that I purchased in 1992 and the original hard drive is still running with Windows 3.1, and with a secondary drive almost as old, also still functioning. Seems that Toshiba ought to be able to make a drive that would last longer.

Other problems
Product was as described, price was excellent. Problem appears to be with other parts in the unit.
