An excellent insight into a man/dog relationship
Dean Koontz is my favorite author and I understand the human/pet love so I bought this book on both counts. It gave me a peek into Koontz's life as just a person - not as a famous author and I felt privileged to have the opportunity to share his relationship with Trixie. I was already in love with Trixie from Koontz's website; after reading this I felt I knew her, and I loved her even more. I knew this was not going to be a 'happy ever after' ending and I dreaded getting to the end. Koontz drew me in to the anguish he and Gerda were going through, and I felt their pain. Tears were streaming down my face as I read about Trixie's last few days. This is an excellent book; from a very excellent author.

Ok continuation of the story - but I was totally confused by the name change of the Bay Hotel and the owner - no explanation given. As with all these books, I don't think proof reading is 100%!

Satisfying Wrapup
The conclusion to the Jane Hawk series had me on the edge of my seat. Couldn’t put it down but had to put it down as my stress level rise. Very satisfying ending - and finally it’s over... or is it 😄😄
