Dr Strangelove

Not having seen this film before, I was always intrigued to see Peter Sellers role in the film but Kubrick saves his best performance until the end when the good doctor makes his appearance. Sellers is genius as the germanic war crazy wheelchair bound closet nazi. It's pure magic.

A different side of McQueen

I wasn't really sure what to expect from this film after reading the synopsis about it but I was pleasantly surprised by it as it went on. McQueens' character is a bit brash and bawdy as you'd expect, but he really seems relaxed to let his role be slightly eclipsed by the young lad he takes on the road trip with him. The situations they get into are a little far fetched and toe curling at times but it's a good romp and a pleasant change for McQueen to be in a more gentle film. Well worth a look but don't expect any car chases!.

dim outlook

I bought this light unit as an illumination for a motorbike number plate. Unless all street lights and the moon were extinguished I still don't think you would see the light being emitted from this unit. It's possible I received a suspect unit but I think this is more suited to a dolls house or model railway illumination. It's just too dim for the real world.
