Works well, but requires external power for sheet feed.
I haven't yet used this as a "wand," though I expect it would work well if I were to scan a book or other difficult object. I use it as a convenient desktop scanner. Be aware that although the wand itself has a rechargeable battery, a separate power supply (using the included USB-A to micro USB cable) is required to use to sheet feeder. This is NOT a deal breaker: A small, portable power bank will work.

Makes the G1 X Mark III a true "point and shoot"
Although the Canon Powershot G1 X Mark III camera generally gets good reviews, a common complaint is that the camera uses a removable lens cap rather than having an automatic cover like most compact point-and-shoot cameras. This lens cap fixes that problem. It sits permanently over the lens (it simply slips on), protecting the lens, but opens automatically when the camera is turned on and the lens extends. If you own a G1 X Mark III, I highly recommend this product.
