Great except for wifi, warranty doesn't cover internet sales
3 of 3 found this helpful I was able to install this myself pretty easily. It has much better functionality than older model that came with my system before these touch screen thermostats came out. In particular, it has a more robust vacation feature.
The wifi feature is nice, once I got it working, but that was a total pain. Does not support passwords of more than 16 characters, which are common with WPA2 wifi encryption. Online reviews indicate many, many problems with getting wifi to work. My usual HVAC service technician said many of their clients do too, and many never hook up the wifi connection. I tried several wifi password configurations; only a totally non-password protected wifi network seemed to work reliably; not a great idea.
Carrier support was not much help on that. Internet sales are excluded from their warranty, which is very lame. Clearly, they're favoring their service providers with that, but I saved nearly $450 by buying online and installing it myself.
But it turned out I didn't need a warranty replacement or repair. The unit just has serious flaws in its wifi connectability by virtue of poor design. Aside from that, works great. Lots of good reasons to replace non-touch-screen older models with this one even without the wifi.
