Best bang for the buck, works great, very versatile.
I use it to locate power cables. The receiver alone does a good job in power mode, depth is accurate. It does a better job using the transmitter with the receiver, depth is accurate. I've not tried to locate cable faults. I replaced the four transmitter 6 volt lantern batteries with a single 12 volt 7 amp hour $15 AGM battery.
These locators are widely available used at prices that make them a very good option. They work really good.

Easy to work with, nice spool dispenser, good wire, best value.

Excellent tool.
Excellent vintage tool. Easy to use. Checks caster, camber and king pin. Not subject to bent wheels. Makes it very easy to check a shops work.
