Too Bright for Pupillary Response
This is sold as a medical use pen light, however even at the lowest setting of 4 lumens, it is way to bright to preform a pupillary response. Patients complain of eye strain, pain, and flashes of light after use. I do not feel this is appropriate for medical use.

Not appropriate for medical use
This penlight is too bright to check a papillary response, regardless of what beam level you utilize. It is blinding and actually caused discomfort when shined in the eyes. However it's an overall nice light for daily use.
