A Competent Monster
Comprising two 12-inch woofers in a sealed cabinet, this subwoofer can reproduce the lowest bass notes one feels as much as hears. Movies are an experience, certainly, but I appreciate the way it capably fills in the lowest octaves of music so that it feels more satisfying and complete. Buy an M&K (Miller & Kteisel) subwoofer and you won't regret it -- apartment neighbors might, though.

Deliciously Improved Focus
I chose this cabling for an old pair of Sennheiser HD580s from the early 90s, so I'm intimately familiar with the sound signature of these open-back cans.
Aficionados still wax poetic about the 580s best feature: never harsh or overly bright, one can listen many hours without any listener fatigue.
This Cardas Audio Clear Light cabling just presents a better focus of each sound, d@mn it -- once heard, difficult to live without for every headset I own.
I wonder how much better their best sound?

Ambient classic half of my life later
Harold Budd & Brian Eno's second collaborative effort sounds fresh some forty-odd years later. Painting with sound, intriguing vignettes of emotion. Truly an effortless-sounding classic of modern ambient music. Harold passed a few months ago but continues to touch our hearts with this album.
