The best and most comprehensive account of Viking culture that I have found., it is certainly, a valuable correction of TV/Hollywood depictions of the Vikings. The work still covers the the explorations and conquests but includes much more. e.g language, literature, arts, law. The book lacks a chapter on Viking genealogy.
