Guess they had to keep the title short.
This is an experts book written for the expert. It's quite in depth for internals which affect the operation of the database. Since the implemetation of SQL Server is heavily dependent on Windows architecture, it spends almost half the book on that topic alone. This is not meant for a beginner to use as a "one book you'll never do without for anything SQL Server" but more as a way to understand why the thing acts like it does.
There's a serious dearth of books dealing with the internals of SQL Server and this is the only one that does without some delusional self-hype about "silver bullets" without explantion. If you're expecting to just use this as a reference without reading and digesting it first, you're going to get very little from it. It's chock full of examples and the novice is advised to work through them.
That said, I'd love to see a book dealing with how the alleged optimizer of SQL Server works (it's miles behind DB2 or Oracle) and a lot more on the pitfalls and structure of clustered and b-tree indexes, that's a decade behind others.
It's a groundbreaking work and compared to the "official Microslop Press" junk out there, it isn't afraid to address the various shortcomings.
If you're an experienced DBA and new to SQL Server you'll probably get more out of this book than anyone else.

A bargain. Everything I'd expect and more.
All I wanted was something cheap to wrap around a guitar. At this price I didn't expect more than a piece of fabric with zippers to close. This has a few extra storage pockets and most importantly, a few velcro straps to stabilize the neck. Padding on the front and back is more than I had any right to expect and the edges have a fair bit of padding. The bottom edge has a rubber "Foot" and that rounds it out. At this price, it exceeds expectations.

Great value and it's attractive.
Really fun and sounds great. Nice wood finish and the tuning hammer is a nice plus. Comes with instructions but you'll likely get more impact from a site with video tutorials.
