Was about to replace my whole wifi system...

My double Airport Extreme + 5 Express system was systematically failing, and since Apple no longer makes wifi equipment anymore, I was shopping around for a replacement, which looked like it would cost me at least $500 for something equivalent. Then I noticed the weird behavior on my older Extreme (no front light, port lights flashing once a second) and was going to replace just the Extreme. Then read this problem may just be the power unit. So I took the jump, and for $12, my system is good as new again.

It was super cheap, but...

...as others have noted, it is prone to freezing my computer. I'm on a current Macbook pro with USB3, and it drops devices and prevents me from restarting with the hub plugged in.
