Inspiring and enlightening
As I was reading I would be asking questions and the answer would come on the next page or so. Easy to read, challenges thinking based on our belief systems and explains how Jesus healed - put it to the test and it works.

A diary of letters from Crimea War that really does take you there
Great book, very interesting considering I am not one for reading diaries or war books. Occasionally I could have put it down but continued, other times I did not want to put it down. They are Lieutenant Colonel George Dallas' letters to his mother and from a mother son relationship perspective it is interesting to note how he was selective in what he wrote about and in time writes more freely. I enjoyed the intro and thought a little narrative summary would have been nice in a couple of places. Still all in all, a really worthwhile history book, great insight into the Crimea, lots of names mentioned and good references and cross referencing. A few chuckles too as I read it thinking this is my Great great Grandfather. Beautifully written in 'old' English. Actually gave me a very good appreciation of what soldiers go through, tragedy, survival during that period, etc without too much gore. Resulted in being a catalyst for visiting the war memorial. Pretty amazing, extra pleased it has my father in the family tree...
