Relatively cheap and get the job don

This little device is the live saver for many renters who share internet connection with main house, or if your room is in a corner of a large house. It's easy to configure through a step by step wizard, connection is stable and barely drop, reception is quite good compare to laptops or smartphones, speed is fairly decent, stable at 30+ mbps in a granny flat 15m away from main router through 3-4 walls. There's also 2 high speed modes that I believe can negate the half-duplex issue with repeaters by connecting to host on 1 band and devices on the other band. The good * Get the job done without hassle * Cheap * Small and unintrusive The bad * If you have NBN 100mbps broadband internet, consider using an access point and a LAN cable to connect to main router/other AP.

Well made and good look, but lacking in "cover"

The plate covers are well made, they are sturdy and looks classy as well. I would like a bit more protection to the number plate itself though, since this cover only touch the plate surface, then clipped onto the plate, so it doesn't provide any protection against dust or rain. Water and dust will leak in and will require periodic cleanup to maintain good look. I'm concerned that water stuck in between the cover and the plate will make the plate degrade fast. It would have been perfect if the cover also extend to cover all 4 sides instead of just the front.

Pack a punch and cool to the touch (figuratively, don't do it)

I use this for gaming on utrawide 1080p monitor. It's almost overkill for anything thrown at it at absolute max settings @75hz. (except for witcher 3, and DA inquisition if you play artificer where it may spike down to 50fps at some points) * The good: --- Runs cool, ~55-60C after couple hours of gaming --- Excellent performance for fairly good price. This is the sweet spot for ultrawide-1080p or 1440p gaming, a 1060 won't cut it, 1080 is far too expensive --- Sturdy build, 3 fans look cool * The bad --- None? * Other thought --- While it's not the most quiet, it's by no means noisy considering the decent performance. The 3 fans do kick in hard after half hour gaming but it is no more audible than the desk fan / air con in my room.
