The Rolls-Royce Crecy
A very interesting and informative book on the history of the Rolls-Royce effort to produce a two-stroke, direct fuel-injected, aircraft engine during World War II.

Review of book - "The High-performance Two-stroke Engine" by Prof. John Dixon (Hardback, 2005)
As a mechanical engineer, I've worked in the two-stroke engine field for most of my career. I collect technical books and publications that pertain to the two-stroke engine. The subject book is a bit light on engine theory, aimed more toward the seasoned engine tuner and technician. The illustrations are very good, combined with descriptions of various production and racing engines. The book is printed on high quality paper with a hard cover. I'm pleased with my purchase and consider it a worthwhile addition to my collection.
