Truly a naked Marquis...
This author has an interesting perspective on Regency / Georgian romance. Her major characters always seem to get into situations where they see each other naked before there is even an engagement, let alone a wedding. For the reader, these situations are humorous; for the characters, they are usually embarrassing, even if no one else knows about the encounter... The series of books that this is a part of are about different members of three main families in the same locality, so that minor characters in one story may be major characters in another. Highly recommended for readers of the period romances who are bored with the formulaic stories that are so prevalent.
