Fakes?

The white ear padding fell off one side of the headphones after 2 days of use. I took them to a certified Apple retailer to look into fixing them. When they scanned the bar code on the box it was registered to a pair of gloss white beats, not the rose gold ones I purchased. Because of this they would not fix the headphones.
