Better and grittier than the SFX-fest from Hollywood.
0 of 1 found this helpful This film, while it includes some supernatural elements, stays closer to the classic tale and brings a more "realistic" version to us, less outrageously fantastic and a bit more down to earth. I especially liked the scenery and setting, which looks more like the grimy frigid coasts of the Danes than some lush mid-European paradise. There is even a scene of Beowulf's longboat going through glacial waters. Worth it, check it out!
