Magellan gets me to the cache
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought the Magellan unit solely to go geocaching though it can help me remember a hot fishing spot if I need it to. I like the color screen, that the GPS is waterproof, seems very accurate and feels durable. The "belly button" navigation can get a bit tedious but is less so the more I use the GPS and get familiar with the menus. The only thing I wish is that the directions included a step-by-step example of how to use it, such as entering geocache coordinates and then how to go about finding that geocache. The manual only described the buttons, not the process of using the unit. I spent a frustrating day trying to get started. I wonder what the unit can do that I don't know to access because of poor directions. Now though, after taking it on a trip to another state, I feel more confident about combining technology and nature to find treasures. I've only had the unit for a few weeks and have already three new people hooked on geocaching because I included them on my hunts. I look forward to using this unit on many travels.
