Great cheap upgrade.

Mine was 13k resistance, but sounded great. Made what started out a cheap Squier sound like a whole new guitar (at least in the bridge position). There's still a little single coil style chime, but it really comes alive with distortion. I did need to open up the mounting hole in my pickguard a little and embiggen the mounting holes slightly.
