Bygone Love Stories
After reading The Flyers by George Barr McCutcheon, I had to read another of his stories. Fun, quaint, love story with elegant pages, each decorated in Victorian style. The series is basically turn-of-the-Century love stories with sophisticated women and men of the 1910-1920’s decade. Similar in vein to The stories of Edward Salisbury Field. The obsolete verbiage encourages Google dictionary usage. I have read more in the series - Cupid’s Understudy, Purple Parasol, each quick and enjoyable reads. The books transport you to a bygone era of grandparents or great-grands depending on your age. During the pandemic it was definitely escapism to a gentler, less stressful time when people were more civilized with each other, the rules were well defined and characters displayed elegant manners and language in clever rom-com /farcical story lines.

Most comfortable shoe
I now own 4 pair of these Brooks Ghost 11 running shoes. I purchased my first pair paying full price and they were awesome. After a couple years of active wear at work, walking, everyday I bought 2 pair from 2 different Ebay sellers as I wanted a change of shoes for work. (On my feet a lot). I just purchased this 4th pair because they are the only shoe I’ve worn that won’t make the bone spur in my big toe hurt. As they aren’t making this shoe any longer (the Ghost 12, 13 & 14 have a smaller toe box, not as comfortable for me) I wanted another pair for future. I may buy a couple more since they are so comfortable and the newest designs seem to fit tight. Anyway, I highly recommend the Brooks Ghost 11 shoe above the other Ghost shoe numbers.

I love this journal and have used them for years. Own 3 previously. They became hard to find as out of print. It was great to go back to this original journal after having to try 3 others.
