300 watt power workhorse. KSM96 comes with a bowl that has a handle.
Originally got the artisan mini, but the power was weaker than I wanted. Unfortunately, this takes more counter space, but I know it will be a workhorse for years to come. KSM 95 doesn't have a bowl with a handle. higher than KSM 96 has a pouring shield. otherwise, power is the same.
Power is better than the classic/artisan mini (250 watts); classic plus (275 watts), and slightly less powerful than the Artisan/Architect (325 watts), and of course less powerful than the Professional (575 watts), Professional 6500 design series (1 horse power), and commercial (1.3 Horse power) KitchenAid stand mixers (KSMs).
If you're looking for well-rounded power/size/price point, this is the way to go. The artisan and architect will cost you more for just an extra 25 watts, but of course the artisan has a nice brushed stainless steel bowl and the architect has a glass bowl that has appeal to many.
