Really Special
This album was an old favorite and remains so. I love every track on it. Nina Simone puts her own unique, soulful stamp on every song. I tend to like singers who play an instrument, usually the piano as in this case, and I enjoy her piano accompaniments a great deal, as well as the overall arrangements. For me, this CD is really special.

A SUPERLATIVE PERFORMANCE AND RECORDING
DIE WALKURE is one of Wagner's greatest operas, and this recording of it, now sounding better than ever, has become my favorite performance of it. It boasts both magnificent conducting and exceptional singing. As one critic said, "It is a pleasure to hear this great recording at its very best." Highly recommended.
