Great for backpackers as its lightweight with lots of features.
1 of 1 found this helpful Great charger, but doesn't charge my RCR123A Olight batteries. It will recharge my other 16340 batteries fine. I like that it can handle up to 16v input as my larger battery pack 120v adapters puts out 14v and my solar panel puts out 15 volts. I don't need to carry the wall adapter that comes with it as I can use my larger battery pack's wall adapter. It does keep my larger battery pack running after the smaller battery is fully charged, unlike other chargers I've used, so I'm guessing its display consumes enough power to prevent my larger battery pack from shutting off. That's nice because I can see the MAH that the rechargeable battery required after its full, but it's bad in that it can run my larger battery pack down at night. I still like it as I can always pull the battery out before I go to bed. Love that the adapter is not built into the charger because I don't need it and it weighs as much as the charger. And it would add heat to the charger if it were to be built inside the unit as some chargers are designed. I carry two of these and my girlfriend carries two also. I can drive all four with my AntiGravity charger which outputs 8amps. I use a 5.5mm x 2.1mm four way splitter to do this. Works great! I like that I can turn the amperage down for my smaller batteries, which saves their life at the expense of charge time. I'm in no hurry most of the time.

One of the best I've used
Weights about 15 ounces. I've been able to load it up with 5lbs of first aid. Its not water proof so I've added zip lock freezer bags to to each compartment. Strong handle straps and tie down straps. Easy to see compartments, but wish it had one more large compartment. Able to roll up additional supplies that do not fit into the compartments.

Best Edible & Medical book for the Rockies. There is a map of the Rockies in the book that shows coverage.
This is the best book I've found for the Rockies. The only book printed on vinyl pages so that it will not get wet on the trail. It weights one pound but worth its weight in your pack. This book shows usage and warnings of food, medial and many other uses such as clothing, cordage, and shelter. It explains what you can and can not grow in a garden. Its full of plant insight that I didn't expect. It covers the life cycle of the plant so you know what time of year to find and harvest the plants. It covers trees, plants, herbs, and scrubs. The section on poisonous plants is one of the best. The color photos for plant identification is one of the best I've found. It does not cover all edible plants so I recommend Peterson Field Guides "Western Medicinal Plants And Herbs", even though its paper, 1.5 lbs so not the best for field usage.
