there is a lot to be said for old fashioned maps
one can see not just where one is right now, but all the surrounding area. This map includes hiking trails as well as roads and paths. For a first time traveler to Crete it is helpful to have an idea of the distances and topography when traveling and making plans. In addition, hard copy maps do not require cell phone reception of batteries for use.

An unusally sensitive children's novel
I remember loving this author when I was a pre-teen so as an adult I bought this book and re-read it. Poor Elvis is a nice kid with a complicated set of parents. Few childrens' books portray this kind of situation and yet a lot of kids can relate to it. If your parents never really enjoyed you or got to know you, this is a book you might find sweet.

very useful information
1 of 1 found this helpful I enjoyed that this book is teaching an actual skill. It is not a self help book, or feel good nebulous prattle. It's a useful skill that men and women can implement in every environment. I bought it to help me with customer service, and I practice my skills at home with friends and family. On the downside, sometimes he uses more "don't" statements than "do" statements -
