Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: A Novel - Mass Market Paperback - GOOD

Interesting and worth the small investment but not extremely well written
I enjoyed getting the back story on the movie but the book wasn't written all that well, which is surprising since Quentin Tarantino is such a gifted screenwriter and director.

    Lyra is All I Need
Everyone raves about the I-Pod, and I'm sure it's an excellent device, but this little RCA Lyra MP3 player is virtually all I need. With the removable data disk, I can hold up to 40 songs, and since I use it to work out, I don't ever need more than 20 or so. When I get tired of hearing the same tunes, I hook it up to the computer, wipe the files clean and put on another 40 songs ... takes about 10 minutes or less. The FM receiver with digital tuning is a real plus, but I rarely use it. This little player cost me less than $30 and when you compare that to the cost of an I-Pod, it's a real no brainer for me. By the way, my son cracked the screen of his I-Pod and he's singing the blues because he'll have to spend another $300 to $400 to get a new one. If something happens to my Lyra, I'm out 1/10th of what he'll have to spend to replace his.

    Guilty Pleasures
In between the “laugh out loud” moments running all through Blazing Saddles, you might find yourself asking why you’re even watching this Mel Brooks anachronistic spoof of the Western genre. The parody skewers everything many of us hold dear about the old west and American values, but there is no escaping the fact that the movie is hilarious, mixing great acting with excellent writing and outrageous visual gags. If you’re offended by racist remarks, gross bodily functions and sexual innuendos, stay away. However, if you’re a serious collector, Blazing Saddles is a “must have” for your collection.
