Everything you would expect it to be
2 of 2 found this helpful Gear cart is tough and well built, probobly the second best constructed out of the set next to the small case but all together it is a quality built piece of good old fashion american craftsmanship from North Ridgeville, Ohio. it is solid and water proof with a gasket around the removable lid while it is the only component of the set that has such a lid its locking latches are on the side so it is attached very securely. I am 328 lbs and i can stand on it upright without any complaint or damage to the case.
HOWEVER! be aware.
- Dimensions - while most of the "RIGID" tool box set are 22.5" long x 13.5" wide the gear cart is 22.5" long x 18" wide from front to back, it is LARGER than the other cases in the set, not just because the internal dimensions are greater but also because the tires in the back bumps out from the rear of the case.
- Tires - while the tires on the gear cart are MORE than adequate for the purposes of the cart, if you are really rough on the cart or really filling the full set with heavy stuff you ARE going to break the tires, they are made of stiffer plastic and that means more brittle, the tread is also hard and not very grippy. after some time you may wish to purchase a set $18-$24 wagon replacement pneumatic tires with steel rims.
