I love using this version. Period!
3 of 3 found this helpful I love using this version in small law offices. The built in file versioning and deletion prevention tools are a huge time saver.
And there are a ton more things that have been added/changed, but there is already a ton of info out there on it, and i need to get back to work. I just had to say that this is, without doubt, the correct way that Microsoft needs to be moving to stay relevant in the spaces that i operate in.

2 of 2 found this helpful Server 2012 R2 Standard (2CPU/2VM) is the best you can get currently depending of course on your purpose for the OS. Installation was a breeze and insanely faster than prior MSoft Server OS's. It's lightweight (for Windows) until you load up all the server roles you may need, but the whole point of this license is to allow you to keep the OS's light weigh by Virtualizing other machines and having the jobs spread out!

Activation Nightmare for multiple machines
2 of 2 found this helpful As a person who manages 30+ machines for a small company i find that Microsoft not offering activation simply by entering the key on the machine, but by connecting it via a MS live account is absolutely annoying. i have upgraded 5 machines and every time (except for the first 2) i grab the wrong License from my list of licenses in my MS live account which then forces me to call for the activation verification code. God only knows if i have over lapped some of the activation's. i will have to buy another to get one more critical machine up-to-date, but i will and recommend anyone else not to buy this till Microsoft changes their activation policy. the other thought on this is that this is all linked to my Live account what happens if i get hit by a bus then what is my company going to do. so much for security when i have to shared my credentials with other to ensure that life goes on. thank you but no thank you Microsoft!!!
