Low cost alternative but don't expect a lot
1 of 1 found this helpful The band could not afford a good wireless In-Ear system so we use a headphone amp and earbuds while onstage. But since I like to move a lot while I'm playing I tried this system. It works but the earbuds are horrible. With the plastic inserts (they need to be a softer compound) it feels like I have large bolts screwed into my ears. Very uncomfortable. I decided to use my 50 dollar earbuds instead but, sorry, the system is mono. I had to use a stereo to mono adapter to make that work. The signal to noise ratio is poor and you have to turn the output on the transmitter all the way up with the receiver volume down low to minimize the noise. It also picks up interference pretty easily. I am still going to use it but I will be replacing it first chance I get. Best thing to do is to hock one of your guitars and spring for a better system.
