    Music Videos Grandparent?
Born in 1959, I was a witness to rather than a member of The Psychodelic 60s. Much of the music of that era is alive and well still.(A fact for which I am greatfull.)Where would todays music be,without the pioneers of the 60s and 70s? Young or OLD,Yellow Submarine is a completely enjoyable piece of Cinema History. I bought this film because I was too young(Dad said so) to go see it when it played the theatres in 68(I was 9 yrs. old then) When it came to TV years later,I missed it again(2 Airings). Dad was watching All in the Family or something. I still recall the ADs for this movie being in comic books at the time.A Plastic Model Co.(remember, but wont say which)of the time offered a kit of The Sub. Even a Breakfast Food manufacture of the time(again,I recall but wont say which) put Beatle Rub-Ons in their product packages. Nuff History? Ergo, over 30 years later, I bought and watched this film for the 1rst time.I loved every min. of it! After watching this film, with its superb animation and correography to the songs, I begin to wonder if this film might have caused THE SPARK in someones brain which led to modern Music Videos. If you buy or get a chance to see this flick, watch the Lucy In THe Sky With Diamonds sequence, then tell me Im wrong. Good Night and May GOD Bless!

Hey, Master Potter, where was Hobbiton?
In brief, This series stands as an excellent counter-point to the Child(Teen)Oriented H. Potter films, which ,thankfully come to a bubble-gummish end with tonight's Premier opening. ( I feel like I'm 12 yrs old again, watching a "Gamera" movie when view Potter films) While both series feature Wonderous F/X, Tolkien's saga wins the day Hands-Down with a superior tale of the struggles of Earth in another age. My Only fault to find with the L.O.R.series, is that No one has yet done"The Hobbit" other than in animation.

Horace Grumby, where is thy father, now?
Whether in Stand. or High Def. (I own both) this is to me, THE Sire of all Swashbucklers. Lavish sets ,accurate costumes, brilliant acting(Rathbone as Sir Guy of Gisborne, Alan Hale Sr. as "Little John") Wonderful Color and Absolutely minimal heed paid to Mr. L.B.Smith's novel. A most-excellent film for ALL ages! ENJOY!
