Good concept - less than ideal performance
2 of 3 found this helpful Installation is easy. Hook up to cell phone and WIFI are not difficult.
Sometimes it indicates motion at door with nothing going on - even with the motion sensor set on the lowest setting. When the door bell or motion is detected, by the time your cell phone gets the notification, it is often too late to respond and the person at the door has left the scene.
There are other less expensive similar products such as the zmodo Smart WIFI doorbell. I recently purchased the zmodo, but have not yet hooked it up. It will be interesting to see if it performs better than the Ring Video Doorbell. I purchased two of the Ring Video doorbells - one for myself and one as a gift for my sister. The one I installed for my sister has the same problems as mine.
I hope that the company that markets the Ring Doorbell will improve the performance of their product and lower the purchase price.
