Weird and fun
Of course you've heard about these things blowing up, but I suspect they're many factors that contribute to that including operator error or ignorance. The Swagway is highly touted and uses Samsung rechargeable batteries. So it's one of the safer boards, plus it has a real 1 year warranty for manufactured defects.
As far as riding, my son of 10 is already and expert. Save for 1 fall I'm performing pretty well on it too. I've never experienced and electronic device that feels like an extension of you body. Once you've go the knack of it, it responds to every nuanced movement of your feet and body; really weird, but fun. Lastly, wear protective gear until you've got it fairly well mastered, even then don't ride without a helmet.
