Beautiful book!
This is an absolutely beautiful book! The quotes are from the 1871 translation of the Tao Te Ching by James Legge so they are easy to understand. There's plenty of room for writing as the quotes are on every other page. There are 63 quotes in all so not all of the Tao is included, unless they have doubled up on some of them. I'm not an expert, so I can't tell. The paper is high quality, thick, and heavy. Some of the pages are lined, and some are not. The pictures are beautiful! Some are in color, and some are black and white. These pictures would be suitable for framing if one wanted to do so. This would be an excellent gift book for an artist as the unlined pages could be used for sketching! The spine is tight, and the binding is very secure. There is a nice elasticized band to keep the book closed, and both the front and back covers can be used to mark your place. Overall this is a high quality item that most everyone would enjoy having!
