Only criticism…
The number wheel counts down when you push the top button and counts up when you push the bottom button.

IC's don't meet my requirements!!!
IC's count up and down. but, what they don't do is have an operating accumulator or able to load to the counter.
none of the IC's would load data in to internal registers or to the counter!
