Better than a Play 1
The sound is more dynamic than the Play 1. Not as brassy. It can fill a room with sound better than the Play 1 at less volume.

Better battery life
8 of 8 found this helpful This replaced my iphone 6s, which had run out of memory. The 7 has 32 megs as opposed to 16 on the 6s. Performance is about the same, but the battery lasts much longer, even though Apple replaced the 6s battery 6 months ago.
