try checking the oil with the dipstick that is in there now

this dipstick locks in at the top and bottom as compared to one I saw that just had two o rings at the bottom and one at the top , this dipstick that locks cost more but its worth it , know more crawling under the truck with a wrench and burning yourself just to check the oil , I feel kind of stupid for not having one of these for six years
