I've Used These For Years
Though not the most expensive they are quality gas blocks new or used. Almost all my rifles are wearing these. They fir snug on most barrels and provide trouble free function.

Great Linear Compensator - Not a Brake
4 of 4 found this helpful Though these are a great linear compensator that directs muzzle blast forward, they are not a true "brake". They do turn sharp recoil to a push but the push is not really a reduction in recoil. I have these on my hunting AR's in 6.8 SPC, 277 Wolverine and 308 Winchester. They make a substantial difference by reducing muzzle blast and concussion in a hunting and target atmosphere and I couldn't give it higher marks in that regard. Some reduction in muzzle jump is also evident. Still, it is not a brake and shouldn't be expected to reduce recoil by any substantial amount.
These look good, are well made, do what I want them to do, are legal in California and made in the USA. Perfect!

Great price, nice replacement band.
This is my second band for Surge. This one looks much better than the last. The free covers are handy.
