New Toe Hook Hockey Goalie Skates Pads tiedown system string complete set system
03 February 2022
I've done about every alternative, this works
I've tried about everything when it comes to attaching to toe if the boot to a skate, and they all either last forever, but don't give at all, like hockey laces, break quickly, like the Bungie cords types, or wear out and become a liability after a little wear, like all the elastic straps/velcro that come standard on leg pads now. Toe hooks simply work, and I might have to change em, once a season, after August. Toe Hooks give when you need some extra flex in the toe, and help re-center your leg pads on recovery. They can take direct puck impacts repeatedly, and they don't stretch out till they're pointless, like anything primarily made of elastic. Every time I change out my pads, or my son's pads, I usually replace whatever gimmick is on the toe bridge, with the exception of my son's last pad set, as he wanted to give the elastic strap thing a chance. Obviously I'm bought them again, so spoiler, the Velcro unraveled, and he's about knocked himself out slipping on the loose hanging strap. Another nice aspect is if a toe hook thing breaks, a coach in the box can replace em right there, without taking the pad off, unlike anything else, which usually requires either removing the pad, OR, jamming your hand between the skate and the bottom of boot, to reattach/repair or what have you.
A&R Sports Achilles Skate Gel Pad (Pair)

Great idea, quality material, just bad glue
Tried these over two nights to be fair, and had to completely replace them each time. The glue came loose within an hour of skating leaving a plastic gel lump under my heel. Since I was teaching at the time, I couldn't just leave the ice, so once the hour was over I was hurting. A hot spot, soon would've been a blister, was on my heel right at the bottom of the Achilles. Tried it again after 48 hours and ensuring the skates had fully dried, same result. If the glue were better, it would be great as it was initially comfortable.

Most comfortable item of this type they have!
This item does exactly as described. Can be worn for long periods without discomfort, and is contoured to the body, so there is no physical interference while using. Long lasting, and a great product. I've bought a few, just because eventually they do stretch out, or finally wear out and the top ring breaks. Wife like these for a couple reasons. They don't rub causing her discomfort, that aforementioned contoured thing. The position this device keeps your low hangers in, means they add sensation for her regardless of position. Also a good sensation if you're just having a menage one. They're a little snug out of the box but a few times wearing the device and they loosen up to remain effective and can be worn longer.
