Fisher Paykel drain pump
1 of 1 found this helpful The Fisher Paykel clothes washer is well designed and the drain pump is extremely easy to install. I did find a YouTube video that showed how to do the installation. It only took about 10 minutes to replace. The old pump (9 years old) was making a lot of noise and I decided to replace it. The loud noise immediately went away.
The price ($100) was more than I wanted to pay, but this was the lowest price I could find. Many other suppliers wanted a lot more. By replacing it myself I saved a service call (probably at least $65) plus the cost of the part most likely would have been well above $100.
Be sure to check the model number on the washer to be sure you order the right part. This washer is from Australia and some model are 220 volts 50 cycle. My washer is 110 volts 60 cycles. Some pumps listed on eBay are the 220 volt version. So double check.
I'd definitely recommend going this route instead of calling a service company. You don't have to be an expert to do this. You just need some basic handyman skills.
