Quality spring
The spring was made of high quality spring steel.

Very disappointing experience!
2 of 2 found this helpful Dont buy this if your engine specifically calls for the 796227 carburetor! Choke lever wasnt same as original as the Briggs Carburetor and wouldn't close as it should, intake manifold gaskets were the wrong size and metal carb baffle plate wouldnt allow throttle plates to open once installed, so had to purchase OEM parts. Spark plugs didnt match the originals. Had to spray starting fuild to get it to run. The only good thing I can say is that it did run great once started. This carb would work fine when installed on the proper application, but you shouldn't have to buy OEM parts to make it work!
