Even though not a Villeroy and Bosch this replacement fits perfectly mand the soft close works which the original never did. As to the price absolutely no comparison with what the original manufacturer absurd quotes. It is slightly less substantial in weight but really no problem and in all other respects a perfect fit with the original toilet bowl. Very pleased with this purchase.
