    Arrived today! Very excited to turn on... and no go. Then I realized, I have to use the switch - bright deep red neon! Item as described and functions exactly as seller said. Extremely well packaged (always a concern with USPS) and box was also appropriately labelled as "Fragile" and "Glass". I've been looking for this for quite a while and consider myself fortunate that the seller had it readily available and a price which didn't break the bank. Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris
I was lent the first book in this series by a friend after a long time away from reading. Because of my lupus, I have had some problems with concentration and short term memory loss which became worse after some more tumor issues. I picked up this book and could not put it down. It read easily and was great for holding my attention. The characters were well developed and reminded me of alot of small town , USA. I finished the first in the series in 3 days, then in record time, read the entire series...all 7 paperbacks and the 2 follow up hardback books as well. I am anxiously waiting for the next book..due out May 2010 to be finished so I can purchase it! These books are much more involved and have great story lines...much better than the HBO adaptation of them..True Blood! If you like the tv series..you should love the books more...you get the full background and development of the characters; and none are "cheapened" for ratings sake.

The Bone Collector
Alot of people may have come across the author Jeffery Deaver when the saw the movie based on his book..The Bone Collector. It starred Angelina Jolie and Denzel Washington, so it attracted a wide audience; however the movie fell far short of doing justice to the book and it changed the ending completely. This book is wonderful for an average person as well as a highly educated person ( I have Phd's in the medical fields) because it grabs you with forensic details that keep the suspense and drama at high pitch. The detail is down in such a way that anyone would understand it and yet, you may not think of "those things" when you think about a murder scene! You have multiple Ah Ha moments and as you start to put the pieces of the puzzle together, Deaver expertly throws you a total curve to keep you on the edge of your seat. Reading this book, I found that the author was able to go into a much better description that left your imagination to form the scene..a much better view than the one offered threw the movie directors eye. Please take the time to read it, you will not be disappointed..and then pick up the follow up book in the series "Coffin Dancer" !
