Pebble FanBoy Drinks the Apple Watch Kool-Aid
6 of 8 found this helpful I was a die-hard Pebble Fan Boy anxiously awaiting my new Pebble Time 2 when knocked for a loop: Pebble died and sold its soul to FitBit. Arrgh! The Kickstarter payment was quickly returned but my Pebble Time Steel (16 months old) began to hiccup. What to do? Finally decided to go with an Apple Watch Series 1 (faster processor) aluminum case, an open box sale from Best Buy through eBay. The watch is great... some things the Pebble did well, the Apple watch doesn't, but Apple watch does many things and better! You do have to pay attention to the battery life. I like to wear the watch at night, so charge it while in the shower, or in the hours before bed. Pay attention to Best Buy confirmation and shipping schedule. They are not Amazon Prime.

Excellent Gadget
3 of 3 found this helpful This is probably the cheapest automotive GPS available (and I bought it used on eBay, so even cheaper) but, in my view, while it may lack some bells and whistles, it has the same basic software, NavTec, and accomplishes the same tasks the bigger, more expensive GPS appliances do and is a much better value. It comes with enough memory to download several large nearby states and additional memory is nominal. You spend a few minutes setting it up using your PC and then entering your destination before you take off. It will take you there, cross-country or to an unfamiliar neighborhood in the next town. It might not help you find Elvis but it will get you to Graceland without a hitch. A black and white screen, very clear and readable, and a pleasant voice giving directions as you drive (my wife and I both remarked that the voice was nicer than in her brother-in-law's $2,000 built in unit). We are very pleased.
