Black & Decker AS6NG Alkaline Cordless Screwdriver from Black & Decker AS6NG New
22 November 2015
this is perfect for portable use
If you need a power screwdriver to take on the field, nearly _all_ sold today use rechargeable batteries. The problem is if you have no power or erratic power to charge the unit up, then you have no power driver. I use this driver to save my wrist from RSD; I do the first untightening or last tightening manually, and let this driver do the rest. This avoids requiring a driver to have a lot of torque or a clutch, also reduces the risk of stripping the gears on this driver, stripping the screws, or over or undertightening a screw. This B&D is the only one I know that is AA powered. This is my 3rd unit, I lost one in the field after 7 years of use, and have 2 new ones in different tool kits. I setup my tools to universally use AA, and even NiMH AA, so I just bring a bunch of batteries and can switch it between different tools/devices. When I have access to electricity, I charge the used ones up. Its biggest flaw is it has no built in bit keeper, I keep a 1.5" wide rubber band I made from an old bike tire to keep bits on the handle, then I put the unused bit in my pocket when I use it.

Super Bright LED Desk Lamp 100 Lumens, Flexible Foldable Battery Operated, White

nice little flexible neck light for portable use
Pro small, base about the size of a laptop portable mouse, head about half the size and 1/4 as thick the crane neck is very flexible and very easy to manipulate, and stays put very lightweight, almost like a toy uses 3 AA batteries, I use NiMH battery weight keeps the lamp from falling over very responsive mechanical switch soft plastic, but rigid very bright with diffuser for reading, no spot 175mA draw, with eneloop 2Ah NiMH, runs over 11 hours and head doesn't get hot Cons cheaply made, head popped off the neck after working it a bit, held by glue and friction, I crazy glued it and it holds better white head has no reflector, so lots of backlighting towards user, so better had it been black, you can paint it or I just covered it with black electrical tape diffuser cuts down a lot of light, if you like you can pop it off with a flat head screwdriver but there is more glare I have older versions of this type of light, which are better made but the older LED are not as bright. I use it as a utility work light and its perfect for lighting up nooks were a standard flashlight can't shine a beam, just push the neck into a crevice and you can rotate it whichever works best; LED have very long burn time, and with NiMH just recharge it back up for another 10+ hours of worklife ...
HEAL FORCE PC-80B Handheld Color ECG EKG Portable Heart Monitor 23x Electrode US

Works well as a ECG rhythm monitor
This is a single channel ECG. It can be used to view Lead I, II, and V leads without modification, just press the lead between your hands, left leg, and V positions on the chest. I tested it against a known 12 lead and patients with known abnormalities and its accurate showing: irregular rhythms T inversions q waves PR, QT intervals An experienced eye can discern subtle ST segment and PR interval problems but gross abnormalities remain easy to see. Why is it so cheap? Its single channel versus multi-channel, so one has to do each lead individually. Medical grade ones are very expensive because of the electrical isolation, noise filtering, both environmental and patient generated, and overall speed of acquisition. This small device easily picks up noise if not properly held [ use ECG gel for better connectivity] , if not 'skip' a beat, very similar to the ancient single channel ECG I used in 1970s. I particularly like this unit is not rechargeable or uses some custom Li battery, but uses AAx2. Its small and compact. This is perfect for ECG monitoring on trips and underdeveloped countries, and can be used stand alone . It can easily be modified to get the missing leads, aVR, aVL, and aVF as well as III.
