Pros - Provide HDMI alternative to RGB and Component Cons - All Cons are compared to the Component output - HDMI output brightness is a little too high/bright than Component - image is slightly more fuzzy than Component - image slightly flickers - screen noise and garbage is visible between loading screens i.e. when the screen is black background (but OK once a image is on screen) Testing was done against the Component output, using 2 known good HDMI cables and on the same monitor. Component is easily the better option.
