Exceptionally skilled author

A very powerful book that details a marriage, and the resulting effect that occurs over time after the husband leaves his wife and two children for a younger woman. Although there are very dark aspects, and may not be read easily by all readers, the story is ultimately so very compelling, and I found it to be one of the best books that I have come across in a long time. Elena Ferrante's style is raw, at times, but she accomplishes her goal of taking the reader every inch of the way on this journey.
