Planned obsolescence?
While I have given this product a positive review, I have to add that with the care my previous lid received, I should not have to replace it. The plastic cannot withstand the stress at points where it attaches to the bowl, and the bowlalso eventually cracks where it attaches to the base. The motor is still working fine, but Cuisinart has discontinued this size bowl and lid, making a perfectly functioning product obsolete. I am grateful this eBay vendor still has some parts available.
