One of my Top Movies of All Time
This movie is funny, romantic, heartwarming and feels real. A good mix of chaos and quiet. I especially liked it since I come from a big family. I couldn't relate to the newer remake with Dennis Quade which seemed too unrealistic and disconnected from what really big families are like. I liked how the father was manly and the mother was womanly in this one. We don't see much on TV now where the dad takes control of situations and mom supports him in a healthy way. Sometimes we forget things could be different until we watch old movies like this. Its engaging to see how they make the new family work.
We've watched it many times.

Like it Alot
Finally an adult show I can watch with my kids!
