Not quite what I had hoped for
Firstly the seller provided the order before time, one star. While construction and build quality is impressive second star.
I bought mine for my new Sony Alpha 7 II (listed in the suitable cameras).
Unfortunately the design is not good. Firstly to use the rig the camera carry strap really should be removed, which is a pain if you also want to use the camera outside the rig. removing and replacing the strap isa pain. You can JUST get away with leaving it on, but it's a wriggle.
The next is a show stopper. When the camera is in the rig the battery door cannot be opened, there is a cut out for it but it does not align. If you put the camera in and skew it you can just get it opened, but if you mount the unit on a tripod, presumably the reason for buying it, then you certainly can't change batteries without taking the whole thing off. As a major weakness of the a7II is short battery life, this is a show stopper. You could use an external power supply but the whole point is to have a light weight mobile camera, I have other cameras for the studio.

Great, simple, affordable, good quality for the price
I use it in my caravan using a solar panel and it draws so little power that it is barely noticeable, and works well circulating the air. at lower speeds it is very quiet.
