Very comfortable
1 of 1 found this helpful These make mowing more comfortable. I don't feel like I'm going to fall off machine anymore and I have a place to put my elbows. The metal nuts fit into pre-molded spots in the seat and then a screw goes through it and into the seat. This is sort of a cheap/poor design. But with a little work it all fits and is secure. I don't think this would be worth $100 but the price I got it for it was worth it.

Great alternative to gas.
1 of 1 found this helpful Ok, so first off we have almost 3 acres to our property. I needed a trimmer to edge my sidewalk, around fence lines, around garden boxes, the barn, laundry line bases, swingset and driveway.
After receiving the unit I charged the battery as per instructions and then whent to work. The variable speed trigger is very intuitive and lent to great control around objects. In fact I really only needed to run at ¹/² speed most of the time. The higher speed just seemed to break the original line that came loaded in it.
The bump feed system took a few tries to get working properly but now is smooth and predictable. The whole unit is comfortable to use and fairly well balanced. Much lighter and quieter than a gas unit.
The power is very good. Tall grass, ferns, salmonberry, and horse grass were no match. Not suitable for BlackBerry or saplings though.
The first time using I ran it for 1 hour of on-off use. Going from place to place. Second time was a quick touch up around the 50x60 garden. Third time was 30min of touching up everywhere. All of this and the battery still shows 2 bars of charge left. I want to try and run it until the battery shows to recharge.
After searching for a common replacement parts like a spool and battery, turns up nothing. So I hope Redback steps up availability of those in the near future. For the price I paid of $99 it was a great deal of a package. I now will see how the durability and longevity of the unit compares to a modest rural southwest Washington yard.
I would recommend so far.

If you are looking at this vacuum just get it already.
The mobility and ease of use due to no cord dragging behind you is wonderful. The container is easy to empty and this thing has plenty of power. We don't have indoor pets so I can't speak to pet hair pickup, but does well with regular hair. We may buy a larger capacity battery soon because we use this on 1400sqft of downstairs flooring with several rugs and it just makes it on a single charge. But the chargingtdocking station is very convenient.
